Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Doctorate in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in experimental and analytical work (ICP, XRD, TGA).
  • Experience with hydrometallurgical operations and/or solid waste treatment.
  • Scientific writing skills in both French and English are essential.
  • Familiarity with speciation software such as Phreeqc or Factsage is a plus.

Job Description:

The recruited researcher will be responsible for:

  • Proposing experiments and operating conditions based on literature reviews.
  • Validating analytical methods for monitoring cadmium and other elements in solid matrices (e.g., ash).
  • Setting up experiments and analyzing obtained results.
  • Correlating observations with thermodynamic data using speciation software.
  • Communicating scientific progress to project stakeholders and through scientific conferences and publications.
