Postdoctoral Researcher in Family and Fertility : The Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB) in Wiesbaden is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for the “Family and Fertility” research area. The position is limited to 48 months and offers the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary research projects in the field of family research.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed academic degree (Master’s or equivalent) in social or economic sciences (preferably in psychology, economics, sociology)
- Doctorate or imminent completion thereof
- Profound knowledge in the field of family sociology, family economics, and/or family psychology
- Excellent skills and experience in quantitative empirical research methods using programs such as Stata or R
- Experience in writing scientific publications in German and English
- Interest in policy advice
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex issues in an understandable manner
- Solution-oriented work approach and ability to work in a team
- Gender competence
- Good English language skills, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of German, if not a native speaker, would be advantageous
Job Description: The tasks include designing and conducting scientific studies in the field of family research, analyzing national and international datasets, publishing research results, supporting the Federal Ministry of the Interior and for Homeland Affairs, and participating in scientific conferences and seminars.
