Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD degree in physics, engineering, photonics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in optics, laser spectroscopy, and signal processing techniques.
  • Experience with lasers and/or spectroscopy and programming (Matlab, LabView, Python).
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Enthusiastic and motivated team player with a passion for experimental work and mentoring.

Job Description

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will:

  • Design and develop a field-deployable spectrometer for gas measurements.
  • Utilize coherent open-path spectroscopy (COPS) for field measurements.
  • Supervise and guide PhD candidates involved in the research.
  • Coordinate research efforts with Dutch project partners.
  • Contribute to the dissemination of research findings in the field of environmental monitoring and chemical exposure assessment.
