Postdoctoral Researcher in Gene Dosage: A recently established group, Developmental Regulation of Gene Dosage, is seeking a motivated and qualified postdoctoral researcher to join our team. The research will focus on exploring developmental and molecular effects of X-linked gene regulation during mouse development, aiming to deepen our understanding of dosage compensation in mammals. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Life Sciences with a strong interest in molecular genetics, genomics, and developmental biology.
  • Experience in mammalian development and/or embryonic models is preferred, though training will be provided if needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently, with excellent organizational and communication skills in English.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will:

  • Investigate the developmental and molecular consequences of abnormal X-linked gene expression using in vivo and ex vivo models.
  • Contribute to defining research strategy, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and disseminating results.
  • Supervise students and assist in team collaborations.
  • Engage actively in the research environment and contribute to an inclusive and diverse team culture.

Terms of Employment:

  • ERC-funded contract for one year, renewable up to three years.
  • Expected start date: Between February and June 2025.
  • Salary range: €2990 – €4166 EUR (gross per month), with approximately 25-31% taxation.
  • The candidate is encouraged to apply for additional postdoctoral fellowships.
