Eligibility/Qualification:
- Required:
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree.
- Strong academic competence and practical experience in Life Cycle Assessment relevant to the position.
- Scientific publications in a relevant subject area.
- Proven ability to independently identify and formulate research objectives and plan/execute research projects.
- Strong collaborative skills working with academic partners and industry stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English.
- Preferred:
- Doctoral degree obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.
- Masterās degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Multidisciplinary background with knowledge in both engineering and social science.
- Experience with tools such as Python, Brightway, Activity browser, and premise database.
- Teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate levels.
- Strong Swedish language skills.
- Awareness of diversity, equal opportunity, and gender issues.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a ātoolboxā for pLCA of green chemistry, helping to guide product and process design at low Technology Readiness Levels (TRL). Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying critical aspects of green chemistry from a life cycle perspective.
- Upscaling process data from low TRL.
- Integrating quantitative LCA modeling with socio-technical systems approaches to make informed assumptions about future markets.
- Participating in teaching LCA and sustainable development at both masterās and bachelor levels (20% of the role).
