Postdoctoral Researcher in Immunology: The CAMS Oxford Institute is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join Dr. Yi-Ling Chen’s group. The position focuses on discovering lipid antigens and lipid-mediated metabolic pathways in health and disease, particularly following Group A Streptococcus (GAS) infection.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, designing, and executing experiments focused on:

  • Mapping antigen characteristics.
  • Investigating functions using advanced immunological and multi-omics techniques, including lipidomics, multicolour flow cytometry, and in vitro T cell functional assays.
  • Working with in vivo transgenic models.

Key responsibilities also include:

  • Preparing lipid extracts for immunological assays and metabolic analysis.
  • Processing primary tissue and blood samples for various assays.
  • Maintaining excellent record-keeping and methodological rigor.

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Proactivity and adaptability in their approach.
  • Willingness to collaborate and guide colleagues, research assistants, and students.
