Eligibility/Qualification
By the starting date, the applicant should have:
- Education: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.
- Skills:
- Strong background in learning and reasoning techniques, robotics decision-making methods, and interpretable methods.
- Proficiency in robot modeling, control, embedded systems, and human-robot interaction.
- Expertise in learning methods, robotics, mathematics, and programming (preferably C++, with ROS experience).
- Knowledge of Python, Unity, and Prolog (meritorious).
- Experience:
- Strong publication record as the first author in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings.
- Demonstrated experience in cross-disciplinary collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Teaching, mentoring, proposal writing, and international collaboration experience are advantageous.
- Other Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Genuine curiosity, passion for research, and strong analytical skills.
Job Description
- Conduct independent, original research in Interpretable AI and HRC.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external researchers.
- Present research findings at academic conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Develop adaptive AI models to align robot behavior with user preferences, leveraging human-in-the-loop learning.
- Contribute to the team’s goal of enhancing robot decision-making and fostering effective human-robot teamwork.
