Location: Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden
Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related fields. The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise in:
- Learning and reasoning techniques for robotics
- Decision-making methods and interpretable AI for robotics
- Robot modeling and control, embedded systems, and human-robot interaction
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English
- A strong publication record as the first author in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings
- Experience in cross-disciplinary collaboration and teamwork
- Additional merit will be given for teaching, proposal writing, or international collaboration experience
Job Description:
The selected candidate will:
- Conduct independent research in interpretable AI for human-centered robotics applications
- Develop AI models that improve robot decision-making, incorporating human feedback for adaptive learning
- Collaborate with team members, researchers, and industry partners
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences
- Contribute to the interdisciplinary research environment at Chalmers’ Mechatronics group within the Department of Electrical Engineering (E2)
