Postdoctoral Researcher in Machine Learning: The University of Luxembourg is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). This position aims to advance cutting-edge research in optimizing machine learning techniques for enhancing physical layer security in 6G wireless communication systems.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in physical layer security, particularly in UAV communications.
- Experience with adversarial training and robustness techniques in machine learning.
- Practical knowledge of communication hardware such as USRP/SDRs.
- A strong publication record in relevant international conferences and journals, including at least one publication in an IEEE Transaction.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch), MATLAB, and optionally C/C++.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will contribute to the XTRUST-6G project focused on enhancing physical layer security in satellite and wireless communication systems using AI and ML techniques. Responsibilities include:
- Developing machine learning-based solutions for securing UAV-enabled communication networks.
- Investigating adversarial training frameworks to protect machine learning models against intentional threats.
- Designing and implementing anti-jamming methods for UAV communication systems.
- Creating software and hardware testing environments for real-time validation of proposed techniques.
- Demonstrating system feasibility and performance using platforms like USRP/SDR-based testbeds.
- Contributing to research proposals and publications, as well as assisting PhD students.
