Postdoctoral Researcher in Materials Chemistry: The University of Helsinki invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in Materials Chemistry. The researcher will work on the EU-funded project titled “Green route to wood-derived Janus particles for stabilized interfaces” (PARTIFACE). The project aims to develop sustainable stabilizers using abundant biopolymers like lignin and hemicelluloses to produce bifacial Janus particles for superior emulsion interface stabilization.

Location: Department of Food and Nutrition, Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Helsinki, Finland
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Material Science, or related fields.
- Experience in chemistry, material science, or related areas.
- Fluency in English with excellent writing skills.
- Experience in chemical analysis and working with biomass-based materials is desirable.
- Capacity for both fundamental and applied research.
Job Description: The Postdoctoral Researcher will:
- Conduct research within the project scope, including design, execution, and reporting.
- Contribute to proposal writing for further research funding.
- Participate in master/doctoral student supervision and teaching.
- Engage with the scientific community through publications, conference presentations, and other mediums.
