Postdoctoral Researcher in Nanomaterials for Metal-Ion Capacitors

Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area: Electrochemical Energy Storage (EES)

Location: CIC energiGUNE, Europe

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in chemistry, materials science, or related fields.
  • Experience in material synthesis and physicochemical characterization (XRD, XPS, ss-NMR).
  • Proficiency in coin cell assembly and electrochemical methods.
  • Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Job Description:

  • Design and synthesize faradaic nanomaterials for electrochemical energy storage.
  • Synthesize metal alloys and hybrid nanomaterials for use as anode or cathode.
  • Perform physicochemical characterization of materials and develop scalable synthesis routes.
  • Prepare electrodes, fabricate coin cells and monolayer pouch cells, and conduct electrochemical testing.
  • Analyze results, draw conclusions, and propose ideas for enhancing nanomaterials performance.
  • Participate in communication with companies and proposal preparation as required.
