Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree (or near completion) in computational genomics or statistical genetics
- Strong publication record in high-profile scientific journals
- Proficiency in Python, R, and the use of version control software
- Experience in computational and statistical analysis of genomic datasets
- Ability to work independently and supervise junior research group members
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience with grant proposals and analysis of microbiome and/or human genome datasets (desirable)
Job Description:
- Lead computational analysis of microbiome and human genome datasets
- Collaborate with wet and dry-lab biologists in interdisciplinary research
- Integrate microbiome datasets with host genetic and multi-omic data
- Develop and maintain open-source code for bioinformatic analysis
- Supervise junior research group members
- Report regularly to group leads on scientific activities
- Contribute to grant proposals (desirable)
