Eligibility/Qualification:

Essential:

  • Strong background in molecular biology and RNA biology
  • Hands-on experience in Western blotting and antibody validation
  • Experience in bioinformatics analysis of high-throughput sequencing data
  • Knowledge of molecular interaction assays (protein–protein and protein–RNA techniques)
  • Ability to work with non-model organisms or unconventional systems

Desirable:

  • Expertise with immunoprecipitation-based methods (particularly Argonaute IP)
  • Experience with small RNA pathways
  • Familiarity with RNA modifications and methylation analyses
  • Knowledge of non-bilaterian animals and early metazoan evolution
  • Competence in bioinformatic pipelines for small RNA biology

Personal Qualities:

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for fundamental biological mechanisms
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary environments

Job Description:
The selected candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator to generate new insights into microRNA (miRNA) machinery’s evolutionary trajectory. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and conducting lab and aquarium experiments aligned with project goals
  • Disseminating findings through presentations at conferences
  • Preparing research manuscripts for publication
  • Participating in outreach events
