Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed a Ph.D. in a highly technical related discipline (such as computer science or electrical engineering).
- Excellent knowledge of electrical power systems and power electronics.
- Experience in modeling, simulation, identification of instabilities and mitigations in power systems.
- Proficient in programming languages: C++ and MATLAB; familiarity with PSCAD is a plus.
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
- Independent, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
Job Description
The postdoctoral position focuses on:
- Developing a mathematical framework for identifying instabilities and resonances in hybrid power systems (HPS).
- Proposing mitigation measures to enhance the stability of the power system.
- Implementing identification and mitigation strategies in the Harmony toolbox using C++.
- Collaborating with experts from TSO utilities and academia, contributing to the energy transition.
