Eligibility/Qualification

  • Completed a Ph.D. in a highly technical related discipline (such as computer science or electrical engineering).
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical power systems and power electronics.
  • Experience in modeling, simulation, identification of instabilities and mitigations in power systems.
  • Proficient in programming languages: C++ and MATLAB; familiarity with PSCAD is a plus.
  • Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Independent, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Job Description

The postdoctoral position focuses on:

  • Developing a mathematical framework for identifying instabilities and resonances in hybrid power systems (HPS).
  • Proposing mitigation measures to enhance the stability of the power system.
  • Implementing identification and mitigation strategies in the Harmony toolbox using C++.
  • Collaborating with experts from TSO utilities and academia, contributing to the energy transition.
