Job Description
The primary responsibilities will include:
- Planning, designing, executing, and analyzing experiments related to sweetpotato genetics.
- Maintenance of sweetpotato in greenhouse and climate chamber settings.
- Conducting in vitro tissue culture and protoplast isolation.
- Performing molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extractions and PCR.
- Designing CRISPR/Cas constructs and conducting mutation screenings.
- Supervising MSc student projects and collaborating internationally with research partners.
- Writing and submitting scientific manuscripts and seeking additional research funding.
