The Division of Infectious Diseases at Karolinska Institutet is seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to join the newly established Hanke research team. The team is focused on emerging and re-emerging viruses, using a combination of functional analysis and structural approaches to study viruses and the immune responses against them. The successful candidate will be involved in ongoing efforts to understand the early phase of RNA virus infections and contribute to the development of nanobodies for biomedical applications.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- A doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required.
- Documented experience in structural biology, virology, machine learning and antibody/nanobody sequence analysis.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
Job Description:
The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for:
- Involvement in ongoing efforts to improve the understanding of the early phase of RNA virus infections, including viral entry and replication.
- Development of nanobodies to control, block, monitor, and manipulate targeted proteins.
- Incorporating nanobodies into various techniques and assays and developing new methods to extract more biological information.
- Collaborating with multiple groups in an interdisciplinary environment.
