Postdoctoral Researcher in Molecular Programming: A postdoctoral position is available at the Gulliver Laboratory, ESPCI Paris – PSL Research University/CNRS, located in the heart of Paris. This project, funded by an ERC starting grant (MoP-MiP), focuses on developing advanced microRNA detection technologies by combining molecular programming and microfluidics. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related fields.

Postdoctoral Researcher in Molecular Programming and Sequencing Readout for MicroRNA Profiling

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field.
  • Experience in next-generation sequencing, including library preparation and data analysis.
  • Confidence working in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or Mathematica is a plus.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will focus on an innovative methodology for digital and multiplex microRNA detection using DNA strands, droplet microfluidics, and next-generation sequencing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting literature reviews and compiling relevant data.
  • Planning and executing biochemical experiments, including the assembly of biochemical reaction networks.
  • Analyzing experimental data and images.
  • Providing regular progress reports.
  • Engaging in scientific communication, including writing publications and attending conferences.

The candidate will leverage the Gulliver Laboratory’s expertise in DNA oligonucleotide and enzyme-based molecular programs capable of information processing.
