EducationPhD in neuroscience, biology, biomedicine, or related field
ExperienceStrong background in neurobiology; experience with in vivo models, preferably mouse
TechniquesModern molecular and cellular techniques (RNA sequencing, in situ hybridization)
BioinformaticsExperience in single-cell transcriptomics and/or analysis is desirable
PublicationsStrong publication record relative to career stage

Job Description

  • Design and execute independent research projects focusing on neuroregeneration after stroke.
  • Investigate the cellular composition and molecular regulation of the post-stroke perivascular niche using in vivo models.
  • Apply modern state-of-the-art techniques, including single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics.
  • Perform functional experiments to validate candidate signaling pathways for neuronal differentiation.
  • Analyze complex multi-omics datasets.
  • Contribute to innovative experimental strategies aimed at promoting neuronal regeneration.
  • Prepare manuscripts for publication and present results at international conferences.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners within the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1744.
