Postdoctoral Researcher in Human Lymphoid Organ-on-Chip for mRNA Vaccine Evaluation

Eligibility/Qualification:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Ph.D. in immunology, with expertise in T cell-B cell interactions and/or vaccinology.
  • Proficiency in advanced cytometry techniques.
  • Strong motivation to gain skills in organ-on-chip technology.
  • A track record of relevant scientific publications.
  • Additional expertise in tissue engineering (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.

Job Description:
The project involves:

  • Developing and enhancing the lymphoid organ-on-chip platform to simulate human lymphoid tissue structure and function.
  • Testing innovative chip designs for creating a defined T cell zone and B cell zone to support de novo antigenic priming.
  • Establishing conditions for mucosal imprinting on the LO chip to evaluate mucosal vaccine responses.
  • Increasing the LO chip’s throughput and predictive capacity to establish a scalable pipeline for vaccine preclinical assessments.
  • Working closely with Samy Gobaa’s team at the Pasteur Institute’s Microfluidics and Biomaterials core facility.
