Postdoctoral Researcher in Organic Chemistry: The CNRS’s Laboratory of Hydrazines and Energetic Polyazoted Compounds (LHCEP) is seeking a motivated and passionate postdoctoral researcher to join our ERC-funded project. The focus is on developing new methodologies and reagents for pentafluorosulfanylation within the exciting fields of organic chemistry and materials science.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Education Level: PhD or equivalent in Chemistry or Environmental Science
  • Experience: None required, but experience in organic chemistry synthesis methodologies is preferred (including cross-coupling reactions and functional group transformations).
  • Languages: Basic proficiency in French required; excellent command of scientific English (both written and spoken).

Job Description:
As a postdoctoral researcher at LHCEP, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and conducting chemical synthesis experiments for the development of new pentafluorosulfanylation reagents.
  • Optimizing reaction methods to improve yields and selectivity.
  • Characterizing products using advanced analytical techniques such as NMR spectroscopy, chromatography, and mass spectrometry.
  • Developing new methodologies to address research questions.
  • Writing scientific papers for publication in high-level journals and presenting research findings at national and international conferences.
  • Participating in internal seminars and collaborating with team members on interdisciplinary projects.
