Postdoctoral Researcher in Organic Synthesis: TU Dortmund University is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Organic Synthesis and Investigation to work on a dynamic project focused on the synthesis and investigation of new organic compound classes. The successful candidate will work in the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, and will collaborate with a team of researchers to investigate new substance classes of organic chemistry, including strongly polarized olefins, stable diazoalkenes, and reactive vinylidenes.

Eligibility/Qualification:
Completed university studies incl. doctorate in chemistry, experience in multistep synthesis, chromatography and product characterization via NMR spectroscopy, knowledge in synthesis of air-sensitive compounds (Schlenk line/Glovebox techniques), experience in main group chemistry, (in)organic chemistry or transition metal chemistry, teamwork, communication and leadership skills, English language skills
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work on the synthesis and systematic investigation of new fundamental substance classes of organic chemistry, and will perform comprehensive instrumental characterization using various spectroscopic methods. The position is to be filled in the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Biology as soon as possible for a period of two years, with the possibility of extension. Remuneration is paid in accordance with the collective bargaining regulations according to pay group 13 TV-L.
