Eligibility/Qualification

  • Educational Background: A PhD in biology, biomedical engineering, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Extensive experience in advanced cell/tissue culture work.
  • Knowledge in nanotoxicology, transcriptomics/epigenomics, and particle characterization is highly beneficial.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in science.
  • Motivation: A strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead research activities investigating the effects of ultrafine pollution particles and micro-/nanoplastics on human placental tissues. Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing state-of-the-art human placenta models (e.g., explant cultures, ex vivo perfusion systems, or microphysiological chips).
  • Conducting experiments to uncover the developmental toxicity mechanisms of these contaminants.
  • Collaborating with an international and interdisciplinary consortium, leveraging data from clinical cohort studies and environmental monitoring.
  • Preparing research findings for publication in high-quality journals and presenting at scientific conferences.
