Eligibility/Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
- Completion of degree less than five years ago (excluding parental leaves, military service, etc.).
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong motivation for research in aerosol physics or chemistry.
Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Researcher will:
- Identify stress-induced volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from vegetation.
- Study the kinetic formation of secondary organic aerosol (SOA) from these VOCs.
- Characterize the chemistry of SOA particles and determine SOA and VOC fluxes to vegetation.
- Conduct experiments in atmospheric simulation chambers.
- Participate in field campaigns or model SOA formation and deposition processes.
- Report results in international scientific publications and conferences.
- May include teaching duties related to the candidate’s expertise.
