Eligibility/Qualification

  • A doctoral degree in synthetic organic chemistry.
  • Strong track record of competence and success in the field.
  • Experience in polymer chemistry, self-assembly, organic semiconductor synthesis, or optical/electronic characterization is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
  • Candidates with a doctoral degree awarded no later than three years before the application deadline are preferred, although exceptions will be made for special circumstances.

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will primarily engage in synthetic research activities, including:

  • Synthesis of donor and acceptor block copolymers.
  • Chromatographic purification of polymers.
  • Development and implementation of crystallisation driven self-assembly (CDSA) methods for nanofiber formation.
  • Conducting testing related to photocatalytic water splitting and CO2 reduction.
  • Involvement in electrochemical and optical characterization of polymers.
  • Recording and analyzing data, preparing manuscripts and grant proposals, and presenting findings at meetings and conferences.
  • Supervising and educating junior researchers, while maintaining high laboratory safety standards.
