Job Description
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will focus on WP9 (RiboTools functional testing) within the VirHoX project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing single-molecule fluorescence microscopy assays to measure binding, cleavage, and release kinetics of engineered enzymes on individual ribosomes.
- Developing and optimizing ribosome immobilization strategies.
- Purifying and preparing ribosomes from various species for single-molecule observation.
- Designing and executing FRET-based assays to monitor rRNA cleavage efficiency.
- Collaborating with consortium partners and participating in international conferences.
- Mentoring junior researchers and contributing to training activities.
