Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will focus on WP9 (RiboTools functional testing) within the VirHoX project. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing single-molecule fluorescence microscopy assays to measure binding, cleavage, and release kinetics of engineered enzymes on individual ribosomes.
  • Developing and optimizing ribosome immobilization strategies.
  • Purifying and preparing ribosomes from various species for single-molecule observation.
  • Designing and executing FRET-based assays to monitor rRNA cleavage efficiency.
  • Collaborating with consortium partners and participating in international conferences.
  • Mentoring junior researchers and contributing to training activities.
