Eligibility / Qualification

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry
  • PhD obtained within 7 years prior to 1 January of the employment year (extensions apply per NCN rules)
  • Eligibility according to National Science Centre (NCN) postdoctoral criteria
  • Experience in protein biochemistry and purification, particularly nucleic acid enzymes
  • Experience in crystallography and/or cryo-EM
  • At least one first-author publication in an international peer-reviewed journal
  • Strong written and spoken English skills
  • Experience presenting research at international conferences
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:

  • Conduct structural studies of viral replicases
  • Apply crystallography and cryo-EM to investigate RNA virus replication mechanisms
  • Perform protein expression, purification, and biochemical characterization
  • Collaborate with national and international research partners
  • Contribute to publications, presentations, and project reports
  • Participate fully in a research-focused role (no teaching duties)
