Eligibility / Qualification
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry
- PhD obtained within 7 years prior to 1 January of the employment year (extensions apply per NCN rules)
- Eligibility according to National Science Centre (NCN) postdoctoral criteria
- Experience in protein biochemistry and purification, particularly nucleic acid enzymes
- Experience in crystallography and/or cryo-EM
- At least one first-author publication in an international peer-reviewed journal
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Experience presenting research at international conferences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
Job Description
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:
- Conduct structural studies of viral replicases
- Apply crystallography and cryo-EM to investigate RNA virus replication mechanisms
- Perform protein expression, purification, and biochemical characterization
- Collaborate with national and international research partners
- Contribute to publications, presentations, and project reports
- Participate fully in a research-focused role (no teaching duties)
