Eligibility/Qualification

  • Required:
  • PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field (a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a Swedish PhD).
  • Doctoral degree completion within the last three years is considered an advantage.
  • Additional Qualifications (considered a plus):
  • Experience working with mouse models.
  • Experience with cell culture systems.
  • Documented experience in mass spectrometry-based proteomics.
  • Previous research in circadian biology or endocrinology.
  • Hands-on experience with plasma or tissue proteomics.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for bioinformatic data analysis.
  • Experience with collaborative projects in academia and/or industry.

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will engage in the following tasks:

  • Perform LC/MS based proteomic analyses of circulating proteins and assess their impact on organs in mouse models and cell cultures.
  • Analyze and interpret omics data using bioinformatic pipelines in Python and R.
  • Coordinate collaboration between the chronobiology lab (led by Dr. Paul Petrus) and the proteomics lab (led by Dr. Amir Saei).
  • Contribute to the understanding of how circadian systems coordinate communication between organs to maintain physiological balance.
