Eligibility/Qualifications
- Required:
- PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Statistical Biology, Biomedicine, Epidemiology, Genetics, Statistics, Mathematical, Computer, or Biomedical Sciences.
- Proficiency in R/Python and UNIX.
- Excellent oral and written English skills.
- Preferred Experience:
- Proven ability to write coherent scientific texts (at least one published or submitted manuscript as the first author).
- Knowledge of pregnancy physiology and biology or statistics.
- Experience in data analysis pertaining to copy number variants or aneuploidies.
- Familiarity with population genetics (microarrays, GWAS, GxE studies).
- Experience in statistical modeling in genetics or epidemiology.
- Background in large data analysis or bioinformatics.
- Experience in supervising students.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and reproducible science.
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct high-quality research, focusing on analyzing large-scale genotyping array data from miscarried fetuses and their mothers. Responsibilities include:
- Data quality control and analysis.
- Writing research articles and presenting findings at scientific conferences.
- Supervising Master’s and PhD students.
- Engaging in collaborative projects within the research group and contributing to administrative tasks, including data acquisition and ethics committee applications.
