Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
- Experience with basic molecular biology techniques (e.g., qPCR, western blot, cloning).
- Familiarity with mammalian cell work including culture, transfection, and handling of primary cells.
- Experience with RNA-related techniques (e.g., in vitro transcription, Northern blot, PAGE, RT-qPCR, RNA immunoprecipitation).
- Prior knowledge of RNA structure, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), and bioinformatics, including proficiency in R, Python, or Perl, is a significant plus.
- Highly motivated, ambitious, creative, and enthusiastic about RNA research.
Job Description
The successful applicant will:
- Develop novel methods for mapping RNA ensemble dynamics in living cells.
- Identify regulatory RNA switches involved in cell fate determination using cancer cell lines and embryonic stem cell models.
- Design and screen therapeutics aimed at modulating RNA structural ensembles.
- Engage in both wet-lab and in silico research, contributing to a multidisciplinary project within a vibrant team.
