Eligibility/Qualification
- A PhD degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or a relevant field.
- Documented expertise in SAXS/WAXS, including experience with both transmission and grazing incidence geometries, and data analysis.
- Experience conducting SAXS/WAXS experiments at large-scale facilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiatives.
- Strong social and communication skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
Additional Merits
- Experience with materials relevant to the RIANA project.
- Hands-on experience with in situ sample environments (e.g., elevated temperatures, magnetic fields).
- Programming skills and experience writing beamtime proposals.
- Previous work experience at a research facility.
Job Description
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting user projects within the RIANA project by planning and carrying out SAXS/WAXS experiments and analyzing data.
- Leading a research project that contributes to scientific publications and enhances your career as a postdoctoral researcher.
- Participating in the operation and further development of the CoSAXS beamline in collaboration with the CoSAXS team.
You will join a dynamic team of scientists dedicated to using X-ray technology to foster advancements in soft matter and life science research within a multicultural and supportive work environment.
