Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Experience in solid-state battery research or related areas such as materials for energy storage or electrochemistry is desirable. Proficiency in materials characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and excellent communication skills are required. A demonstrated track record of publishing research in reputable scientific journals is also valued.

Job Description:
The selected candidate will play a leadership role in assembling the battery testing facility and develop novel materials for solid-state electrolytes and electrodes. Responsibilities include:

  • Testing and optimizing battery prototypes.
  • Investigating interface stability and charge transfer mechanisms using advanced characterization techniques.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of chemists.
  • Publishing and presenting research findings in high-impact journals and at conferences.

The postdoctoral scholar will work primarily with the Jackson group but will also collaborate with other research teams within the Creativity Hub.
