Postdoctoral Researcher in Stem Cell Biology: Are you passionate about contributing to top-quality medical research? We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join a collaborative project advancing our understanding of how lipids influence stem cell behavior. The project, spanning Jonas Frisén Lab, Pekka Katajisto Lab, and Erdinc Sezgin Lab, aims to uncover the molecular codes of cellular physiology and diseases, with a focus on boosting functional tissue regeneration. Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in biology, stem cell biology, molecular biology, biomedicine, biophysics, biochemistry, or related fields
- BSc in life or natural sciences (biology, molecular biology, chemistry, or similar) or MD
- Strong expertise in cell biology and microscopy
- Proficiency in basic cell and molecular biology techniques, and cell culture
- Independent working skills, teamwork spirit, and willingness to assist PhD/master students
Desired Skills:
- Expertise in membrane biology
- Organoid culture expertise
- Proficiency in scientific programming (e.g., Python)
Job Description: The postdoctoral fellow will:
- Investigate the key role of lipids in tissue regeneration using intestinal and neural organoids
- Apply lipid manipulation techniques and advanced imaging tools
- Utilize data analysis tools for comprehensive understanding
- Collaborate closely with members of all three labs
- Contribute to the advancement of stem cell biology through interdisciplinary approaches
