Job Description
The successful candidate will develop an operando STM suitable for catalytic reaction studies at temperatures up to 1200 K. Responsibilities include:
- Sourcing and testing new piezoelectric materials for high-temperature applications
- Fabrication of STM scanner tubes with the required mechanical properties
- Experimental assessment of the scanner’s performance
- Collaboration with the Fine Mechanical Department and Leiden Probe Microscopy
- First research focus will be the partial oxidation of methane
- Supervising and training junior researchers
