Eligibility/Qualifications:

Required:

  • Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Systems Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field.
  • Extensive, hands-on experience in the design and construction of large-scale DNA constructs (>100 kb), synthetic genomes, or complex genetic circuits.
  • Strong background in analytical techniques (e.g., flow cytometry, high-throughput sequencing, fluorescence microscopy, qPCR).
  • Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, Gibson Assembly).
  • Strong computational biology skills for genome annotation and search.
  • Proven research productivity, evidenced by publications.
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for science.

Preferred:

  • Experience with high-throughput screening methods and laboratory automation.
  • Familiarity with diverse host organisms (e.g., E. coli, yeast, mammalian cells).
  • Expertise in advanced genome engineering tools (CRISPR/Cas, base editing, etc.).
  • Experience in metabolic engineering, biosensor design, or cell-free expression systems.
  • Interest in developing novel methods for generative genomics.
  • Aspiration to pursue an independent research career.
