Eligibility/Qualification:
- Degree in computer science, (applied) mathematics, mathematical engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in:
- Modeling VRP or other complex combinatorial optimization problems
- Developing and implementing efficient optimization algorithms
- Setting up and implementing a software system in a modern programming language
- Excellent proficiency in English, both oral and written
Job Description:
- Restructure the group’s research results into the components of a unified, configurable, and extendable VRP solver software framework
- Develop and implement efficient optimization algorithms for various types of VRP and VRP subproblems
- Ensure the framework is modular, configurable, and extendable to enable rapid customization and deployment of a wide range of VRP algorithms
- Collaborate with international research groups and industry partners to address emerging VRP variants
- Contribute to the group’s research publications and participate in conferences and workshops
