Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification
Requirements:
- A doctoral degree in physics, engineering, medical engineering, or a relevant field. Must not be completed more than five years prior (net time, excluding parental leave, military service, etc.).
- Good spoken and written English skills.
- Prior experience and knowledge in MRI, pulse sequence development, and low-field MRI.
Advantages (Considered a Plus):
- Skills in electronics (RF electronics, MRI/gradient coil design)
- Programming skills (MATLAB, C/C++, or Python)
- 3-D printing and other manufacturing methods
- Experience in MRI image reconstruction (e.g., nonuniform FFT, compressive sensing)
- Good publication track record
- Experience supervising students
Job Description
Main responsibilities include:
- Developing and constructing an open-source, open-hardware low-field MRI device.
- Implementing and testing software, especially pulse sequences, on the low-field device alongside consortium researchers.
- Developing and executing applications on low-field MRI.
- Collaborating with national and international research institutions and companies.
- Writing scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals.
- Acquiring and implementing third-party funded projects.
- Mentoring and supervising PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s students and interns.
- Optional teaching activities relevant to your expertise.
