Postdoctoral Researcher – MOF Biocomposites: The Crystal Engineering Lab (CEL) at the Institute of Molecular Science (ICMol), University of Valencia, is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the field of “Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) Biocomposites.” The successful candidate will work on developing hybrid MOF-based composites for biomacromolecule manipulation and delivery, with applications in targeted delivery, biosensing, and biocatalysis.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Materials Science, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities for supervising PhD, MSc, or undergraduate students.
  • Proficiency in the manipulation of biomacromolecules; experience with encapsulating materials is desirable.

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Researcher – Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) Biocomposites

The successful candidate will synthesize biomolecule@MOF composites using biocompatible and scalable protocols, characterize them with advanced techniques, assess toxicity, and develop controlled delivery. The composites will find applications in academia and industry for targeted delivery, biosensing, and biocatalysis. The position offers an initial appointment for 12 months, with the potential for a 12-month extension based on performance and mutual agreement.
