Eligibility/Qualification
- Recent (within the last five years) or soon-to-be completed Ph.D. in:
- Materials Science
- Chemical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemistry
- Related fields
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques such as XRD and SEM.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with molten salt systems and handling hazardous materials is desired but not mandatory.
- Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with federal regulations.
Job Description
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:
- Develop and optimize process chemistries for synthesizing chloride and fluoride species.
- Recover metals and oxides from molten salts.
- Evaluate product purity and morphology using analytical techniques.
- Communicate research findings through reports and presentations.
