Postdoctoral Researcher: NORPOD program: FIMM is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join Anniina Färkkilä’s lab, in collaboration with the Kuijjer group at NCMM, through the NORPOD program. The project focuses on identifying the spatial transcriptional regulation of tumor cell states that drive chemoresistance in ovarian cancer using multiplexed single-cell spatial proteomics, transcriptomics, and chromatin states.

Research Area: Spatial transcriptional regulation in ovarian cancer

Location: University of Helsinki, Finland, with short stays at University of Oslo, Norway

Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants should hold a PhD degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science, or a related field. Strong publication record, proficiency in programming (R, Python, MATLAB, Bash), experience with high-throughput omics data analysis, and knowledge in cancer research are desired. Professional proficiency in English is required.

Job Description: The position involves integrating spatial omics data with deep learning-based approaches, and modeling gene regulatory networks in tumor cell subpopulations. Collaboration, sharing skills and ideas, and willingness to work in a team environment are essential.
