Postdoctoral Researcher on EU Lobbying: The Department of Political Science at Maastricht University is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the project ‘ACCESS4ALL – Why is access to policymakers (not) equal for all lobbyists?’ funded by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. This role involves conducting research on the biases in EU policy access towards lobbyists from different socio-demographic backgrounds.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Hold a doctoral degree in political science or a related discipline (communication, sociology, psychology, public policy, economics) or be in the final stages of doctoral studies.
- Proficient in quantitative methodology and statistical packages such as Stata or R.
- Strong academic record with peer-reviewed publications.
- Interest in lobbying, interest group politics, civil society organizations, and/or social movement organizations.
- Highly motivated, capable of autonomous research, and willing to relocate to Maastricht or its vicinity.
- Fluent in English (Cambridge English Proficiency, level C2, orally and written).
Job Description:
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, your responsibilities include:
- Conducting fundamental research in Political Science, focusing on interest group politics.
- Assisting in supervising PhD students and project management.
- Coordinating data collection and management processes, including desk research, surveys, and vignette research.
- Engaging in teaching activities (20%), such as tutoring and supervising BA and MA theses.
- Contributing to academic publications and presenting research findings to academic audiences.
