Eligibility/Qualification

  • Background in microfluidic theory and device fabrication (3D printing or rapid prototyping methods).
  • Experience with microfabricated, transparent chips and their design is advantageous.
  • Expertise in microscopy and time-lapse imaging.
  • Practical experience in plant and/or bacterial cultivation in microfluidic devices is advantageous.
  • Interest in chronobiology (circadian biology).
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative international project and undertake international travel.

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will establish a cutting-edge microfluidic system to investigate circadian gene expression in Bacillus subtilis and Arabidopsis thaliana. The role requires close collaboration with consortium partners, contributing significantly to the understanding of cross-kingdom circadian systems. The successful candidate will be immersed in an innovative research environment that emphasizes scientific development and a healthy work-life balance.
