Eligibility / Qualification

For Postdoctoral Position:

  • Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Prior experience in biomedical laboratories, hydrogel synthesis, and cell culture preferred.

For Ph.D. Position:

  • M.Sc. or equivalent degree in one of the above fields.
  • Interest in biomaterials, bioengineering, and cancer biology.

Common Requirements:

  • Strong experimental and analytical skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a multidisciplinary, international team.
  • Excellent English communication skills (Spanish not required).
  • Motivation for scientific innovation and curiosity-driven research.

Job Description

Successful candidates will:

  • Design and apply biomaterials-based systems to model in vitro breast cancer dormancy.
  • Conduct hydrogel synthesis and microparticle fabrication with controlled physicochemical properties.
  • Perform 2D and 3D cell culture experiments with breast cancer models.
  • Use advanced microscopy and time-lapse fluorescence live-cell imaging to analyze cancer cell dynamics.
  • Collaborate with international research partners, including the Max Planck Queensland Center (Australia).
  • Participate in consortium meetings and scientific dissemination activities.
