Postdoctoral Researcher Position: The Institute of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the field of synthetic organic chemistry. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD and Master’s degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry.
  • Experience in multistep organic synthesis (desirable).
  • Knowledge of homogeneous catalysis and/or photocatalysis (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in analytical and spectroscopic tools (NMR, XRD, IR, UV-Vis, MS, CV, Fluorescence Spectroscopy).
  • Very good language skills in English and/or German.

Job Description:

  • Conduct research on the synthesis and functionalization of bridged bicyclic compounds within the research group.
  • Work independently while also collaborating as part of a team.
  • Supervise internship and thesis students.
  • Manage own research and administrative activities.
  • Engage in cooperation with national and international research groups.
