Postdoctoral Researcher Position on Molecular: The Maeso lab at the University of Barcelona’s Genetics, Microbiology & Statistics Department is offering a Postdoctoral Researcher position to investigate the early stages of molecular novelties, particularly the integration of newly originated genes like Transcription Factors (TFs) into biological systems. The lab employs functional genomic approaches and model systems to mimic these early interactions, including zebrafish, yeast, and mammalian cell lines.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed PhD in Biology, Computational Biology, or related fields.

- Previous experience in gene regulation, epigenomics, and functional genomic techniques (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, Hi-C, Micro-C) using zebrafish, yeast, or cell cultures.
- Programming skills in bioinformatics languages (Python or R, etc.).
- Creativity and high motivation.
Job Description: This is a 2-year position with a gross salary of 27,000€ – 29,000€ per year. The expected start date is from December 2023 / January 2023.
Work Environment: The Postdoctoral Researcher will join the Maeso lab, located at the Department of Genetics, Microbiology, and Statistics and the Institut de la Recerca de la Biodiversitat (IRBio) at the University of Barcelona.
