Postdoctoral Researcher (R2) in Human Evolution: The Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher (R2) to join the TIED2TEETH project. This project, funded by the European Research Council, aims to study the influence of genes acting on dental variation in human anatomy and apply this knowledge to the fossil record of the Iberian Peninsula and eastern Africa. The successful candidate will contribute to research tasks focused on human and non-human primate dental variation from a genetic perspective.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- A Ph.D. in anthropology, evolutionary biology, paleontology, or a similar discipline, completed by March 1st, 2025.
- Demonstrated interest in and commitment to collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
- Experience in one or more of the specified research areas.
- Fluency in spoken English.
- Demonstrated experience writing scientific manuscripts in English; published peer-reviewed research articles in biological anthropology is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and database management.
- Experience implementing statistical analyses; R Studio experience is a plus.
- Experience in the development of open-access databases, datasets, websites, and/or other scientific resources.
- Mobility experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to “open science” and responsible scientific promotion and outreach.
Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Researcher will:
- Conduct research on human and non-human primate dental variation from a genetic perspective within the TIED2TEETH project.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of researchers.
- Perform statistical analyses.
- Write scientific manuscripts for publication.
- Contribute to the development of open-access databases and scientific resources.
- Present research findings at conferences and meetings.

- Aim 3: Paleontology of the hominid and/of cercopithecid lineages, with a focus on eastern Africa and/or the Iberian Peninsula.

- Employment history issued by the Tesorería de la Seguridad Social, or equivalent certificates for those who have worked in another country.
