✅ Eligibility / Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science
  • Strong background in theoretical physics, physical chemistry, and/or materials science
  • Proven experience in:
    • Quantum transport and many-body physics
    • Materials-specific modeling (e.g., DFT, GW, force fields)
    • Scientific programming and code development
  • Proficiency in English (German is a plus for teaching)

📝 Job Description:
The postdoctoral researcher will:

  • Contribute to research aligned with the activities of the Pauly group
  • Support teaching (5 teaching units per lecture period; in English or German)
  • Develop and apply advanced theoretical models to study charge and heat transport in nanomaterials
  • Use simulation tools including DFT, molecular dynamics, and force fields
  • Contribute to the development and extension of TURBOMOLE and internal codes
  • Engage in international collaborations (experimental and theoretical)
