Salary | Research Grade 7: £38,674 – £46,913 with a discretionary range to £52,539 p.a. (pro rata), inclusive of a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 per year (pro rata). |
Job Description
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:
- Lead and manage your own academic research and administrative activities, coordinating multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.
- Design and perform original research using in vivo disease modelling, including PDX and in vivo models, as well as conduct in vitro studies utilizing primary patient samples.
- Supervise and train junior staff in epigenetic techniques and operate laboratory equipment used for all aspects of cell/molecular biology/biochemistry.
- Develop and communicate research findings effectively, including writing publications, presenting data at conferences, and representing the research group in meetings.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience with in vivo/in vitro experimental models and working with primary patient samples and patient-derived xenografts.
- Proficient in functional genomics (CRISPR, shRNA) and excellent communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiarity with high-throughput sequencing methods, including bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing.
