Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Chemistry, Catalysis, or a related field
  • Strong background in photocatalysis (ideally solar energy conversion and/or water splitting)
  • Experience in catalyst design and optimization
  • Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and growth mindset
  • Good command of English (German proficiency not required)

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Develop novel photocatalyst platforms for overall water splitting
  • Work on molecular, conjugated polymer, or heterogeneous inorganic catalysts
  • Identify and optimize catalysts capable of efficient multi-wavelength solar energy utilization
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on process development, techno-economic analysis, and life-cycle assessment
  • Contribute to the mission of creating applicable systems for green hydrogen and solar fuels production
