Job Description
The Materials, Chemical, and Computational Sciences Directorate seeks a postdoctoral researcher to explore the fundamentals of photo(electro)chemical transformations such as hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR), or nitrate reduction reaction (NO3RR). The successful candidate will work with novel semiconductor materials and thin-film configurations, characterizing materials to identify defects and probe reaction mechanisms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Characterization of semiconductor materials and architectures.
- Understanding optoelectronic properties and reaction mechanisms.
- Collaboration in team science with experts from various disciplines.
- Hands-on experience with characterization techniques including UV-vis, IR, Raman, PL, and more.
