Postdoctoral Researchers for TERAIS Project: Join Comenius University Bratislava in advancing robotics and artificial intelligence through the TERAIS project. We’re seeking two driven postdoctoral researchers to contribute to the development of machine learning algorithms for robotics, focusing on the NICO robot and human-robot interaction.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Education Level: PhD or equivalent
- Skills/Qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent in Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar
- Specialization in Robotics, AI, and/or Neural Networks
- Excellent programming skills (e.g., Python, C++, Machine Learning frameworks)
- Good communication skills
- Experience in human-robot interaction is a plus
Job Description:
The selected candidates will be involved in research activities as part of the Horizon Europe twinning project TERAIS. The primary focus will be on developing machine learning algorithms, particularly neural networks, for perception and control of the semi-humanoid NICO robot. This involves both simulation and transfer to physical robots. Additionally, the role entails conducting human-robot interaction experiments.
Contract Duration: One year, full-time, with the possibility of extension for 1-2 years, starting from September 1, 2024.
Gross Salary: €25.200 to €28.800 per year, depending on experience.
